LIVE BAND - THE CANYON - 03/03/2012 - FREE

We were sitting contemplating a quiet night when this bunch popped in looking for a gig. After listening to the CD they left we've decided to go ahead an book them. If they can play as well as the front man can spin a yarn then we are in for a good night Sheffielders!
Here is a bit of info from their site.

Formed in March 2011, The Canyon are a 4 piece band - all local with the
ethos of playing music from an era and a place (Laurel Canyon, California)
which brought us bands such as The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Mamas & The
Papas, Crosby Stills Nash & Young and many more.

"We want our audience to enjoy the music as much as we enjoy performing
it" says John Swift, founder member of The Canyon. The band members as
individuals, and collectively have a passion for the music from this genre -
and it shows.
Playing regularly at local venues such as The Travellers Rest at
Apperknowle,The White Swan and The Yew Tree in Dronfield.
The Canyon are already attracting a regular fan base.
"This is the music we all grew up with - and the songs still stand the test of
time. They'll always be my favourites" - Anne Fotheringham (Vocals/Guitar)
